Traditional Folk Music Of Ireland

Can you help me find the best Irish/Celtic music?
I am a big fan of traditional music of Ireland, and am looking for musicians/bands that have elements of Irish folk music. I am already hooked on Enya for example, yet if possible I’m looking for rock/punk/metal bands. But seriously, if you know something else that is also good, share, anything goes. The origin doesn’t have to be Irish, what I’m looking for is Irish folk and Celtic genre.
Try these at least:
Davy Spillane
Altan
Anúna
Máire (Moya) Brennan (Enya’s sister/leader of Clannad has made solo albums as well!)
Clannad (self-explanatorily!)
Andy Irvine
Kíla
Chieftains
Donal Lunny
Loreena McKennitt (Canadian singer-songwriter with Irish in her blood)
The Pogues

why does traditional music from england, scotland and ireland changed much?
I have a lot of music from around the world, and different time periods, which brought me to notice that folk music from the meditteranean, central europe, and eastern europe have changed alot, (most likely evolving during the 1700′s) but the british isles folk music still sounds the same as the music from the middle ages that the rest of europe used.
I would say you don’t really have good grasp of medieval music is you think British/Scottish/Irish Trad sounds medieval. I sing a lot of Trad from the Isles and I’m also fairly well versed in several medieval styles (Plainsong, Cantigas, and Troubadour music especially) and they are VERY different.
I think if research more true medieval music, you’ll start to hear the difference as well.
