Stompbox Rocks
What exactly is a stompbox? (Guitar question)?
What is it and do you need it if you’re gonna play rock? I’m getting my first electric guitar soon and I just wanted to ask.
As far as foot pedals go. A stomp box would be low on my list of priorities. On the floor you want
- a volume pedal that can double as a wha-pedal.
- a distortion/overdrive pedal, especially if you don’t have a nice amp
- a few other pedals of your choice, for me, it would be in this order of priority: compressor, delay, chorus, reverb, flanger
you can buy an integrated pedal board filled with lots of effects and settings to play with or you can buy individual pedals and string them together.
