LOL, WANNA HEAR A FUNNY DREAM I HAD IN KINDERGARTEN?
So, I was in Kindergarten when I had this dream. I have no clue why I still remember this dream but whatever.
Here it is- I was unpacking my lunch. Peanut butter jelly sandwich with applesauce and a juice box- typical… But I noticed something on the juice box, there were these words in big letters that said “CONGRATS!! YOU JUST ONE SECOND PRIZE IN OUR JUICE BOX CONTEST!!” I’m like “Okay…” I read on ” PLEASE PICK YOUR PRIZE IN THE MAIN OFFICE!!” So I went to the main office and I saw a tarantula, a pig, and a giant red pig. The principal told me the second prize was the regular pig. She also told me my own aunt Lee was going to deliver it to my house the next week. So, a week passed and there was a knock on my door. I opened the door and there was my aunt with the pig in her arms. She dropped the pig with a thud and stomped away. Then my dad walked over to me and started to sing opera. Then the pig bit me. Then I woke up.
RANDOM, RIGHT?
Cool. That’s like my whole life.

Are these legit reasons for wanting to break an apartment lease?
Broken mail box for 6 months and counting.
THEY WONT FIX IT, they claim to have ordered all new mail boxes over three months ago.
Someone can get in very easily with out a mail box key.
Roaches and unresolved bugs after pest control coming 4 times.
Neighbor upstairs stomps to make me mad. Made 5 complaints on that, still going on.
I’m mostly mad about the unfixed mail box because someone keeps stuffing it full of beer caps and all the office says is that they will come take the beer caps out for me but thats all they can do at this time.
Can I get out of this lease, or will I still have to pay the rediculus fees?
Mail box: NO! That is not legally required to be provided, so you cannot break your lease over it. You can only break a lease for lack of essential services. Get a PO Box.
Bugs: It sounds like they are trying ot resolve this, so NO that is NOT grounds to break a lease. It can take several visits to resolve a really bad infestation. You could only break a lease over that if they were not trying to fix it. Even then you cannot just leave, it would have to be court ordered.
Neighbor noise: NO! When you live in a downstairs apartment you are going to hear people walking around! There is nothing anyone can do about it! It is just something apartment dwellers have to live with.
You have no legal grounds to break your lease.
