How Guitar Pedal Works
How does a cabinet simulator guitar pedal work? And, what is the best kind to use playing live for metal?
I am in a metal band, and I’ve always been interested in getting a really specific sound live. We practice 2-3 times a week, so the tightness is all there. My guitarist plays through a V3 carvin tube head, and I play through a peavey 6505+. We try matching our tones as close as possible, but i feel the difference is our cabinets; he has a hartke 4×12 & I have a marshall 1960b.
One person who saw us live suggested that we use cabinet simulator pedals. After I heard this from him, I decided to do some research, but I still do not understand how these work….and, how they improve your sound. Someone explain this to me!!
also, I would love to know what is the best kind of cabinet simulator pedal to use for a great metal sound live!
Don’t waste your money. That pedal “tries” to create the sound you both already have. If you’re looking for advice, stop trying to match your tones. get the best sounding tone out of each guitar and amp appropriate for each song and you’ll hear a vast improvement.

how do you get a guitar pedal that neads to be charged to work?
i already charged it but it is not working. the model of my pedal is rp250 i already charged it. It does not have any area to put bateries any suggestions on how to work it?
The RP-250 doesn’t “charge” – it always has to be connected to the power supply – it doesn’t take batteries either. Always use the included power supply – another type can fry it.
