Will using a pl splitter on my guitar pedal hurt sound (bypass) quality?

I want to connect a pl splitter to my guitar overdrive pedal, so one cable will continue to the other pedals(and finally – to the amp), and the other directly to a digital tuner. will it hurt the signal going from my guitar to the amp, and therefore hurt my sound quality?

the tuner i’m talking about is from multi effect with realy shitty bypass.
i want it out of my chain. i will tune only when od is off. I just don’t want to buy another costy tuner when i have a good one.

Why split it? Just go in and out of the tuner first. There should be no appreciable signal loss or coloring when the tuner is in bypass. Plus, why would you want a distorted signal going to the tuner?
