Power supply for 2 watt tv speakers?
I pulled out some 2 watt speakers from an old tv and i have 2 little speakers. and i was wondering how to i give them a power supply to use them to play music on or something? like i dont know like a guitar hooked into a distortion pedal to play and use as my travel amps instead of bringing my big ass amps that weigh at 50 ponds EACH! and i rather keep them in my room. its just we where throwing away an old tv and i scavenged it for parts and got the speakers they work! i just didnt feel like spending money to go buy REAL travel amps cause they sound like shit. and the tv speakers sound really good. any one wana help me with this little project?
You could get a Pyle pro pca1 amp or a Dayton DTA-1 class T amp both put out 15 watts a channel which is even more than you need…but would probably work if you don’t turn it up too loud or you could put resistors in the circuit to limit the output..

what would happen if I used a 22uf capacitor in place of a 20uf?
I’m making a guitar effects pedal that uses a 20uf capacitor, but I can’t find them anywhere. Neither RadioShack nor the website that I usually use to buy parts supplies them. However I have seen 22 uf capacitors. What would happen if I used that in place of the 20uf?
Most caps in this range, especially if they are electrolytics, are going to be 10 or 20% tolerance, anyway. As Gibson… says, it depends on what its function in the circuit is. At 20uF, it is probably a power filter, which makes its value non-critical.
