Guitar Pedal Compressor
Order Of Guitar Pedals?
currently ive been told that the best combination for my pedals are:
guitar—>wah—>compressor/sustainer—>overdrive/distortion—>amp
however when i use this combination, i get a really muddy sound
what do i do?

Thomas, compressors can be very helpful if not overused. My guess is that you may have the controls adjusted to squash the dynamics to the point where there is no tone definition. With a compressor pedal, a little goes a long way. Try backing off on the level of attack and overall compression (sustain) to see if that helps; of course, you always want to make sure you are providing full voltage to the pedal with a fresh battery or power supply.
