Guitar Pedal Capacitors

Can I repair my guitar pedal by replacing the capacitor I blew out?
I hope there is an electronics expert who will see this. I was trying different AC adaptors on my guitar pedal last night and one of them overheated a capacitor and it blew with a loud pop. If I go to Radio Shack and buy the same capacitor and replace it will it probably work, or am I probably wasting my time? I don’t know if other components would’ve been fried in the same overload or if the capacitor protected the rest of the circuit.
Generally when something like a cap pops on a circuit board it breaks the circuit and doesn’t harm any of the other components. No more than a new cap would cost you and as easy as they are to replace I’d try it.

what would happen if I used a 22uf capacitor in place of a 20uf?
I’m working on building a guitar effects pedal from this schematic right here:

Down in the bottom right corner there is a 20uf capacitor. My problem is I can’t find one anywhere. However i have seen 22uf capacitors. Is this a vital part or will swapping it out with a 22uf be fine? Thanks
To my understanding, there should not be any big difference. You can use 22 uf.
But, you check practically.. by using two parallel 10 uf capacitors, and 22 uf.
If found any significant difference use two 10 uf in parallel or use 22 uf as it is.
