Should i but a multi-effect guitar processor or seperate pedals for my guitar?
It is between the line 6 pod x3 live or me buying a boss ds-1 distortion, boss od-3 overdrive pedal, Electro-Harmonix XO Holy Grail Plus Variable Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal, Boss DD-7 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal, Boss GE-7 Equalizer Pedal, volume pedal, boss tremelo…please help!!!!

BOSS makes the best effects. Either buy the BOSS GT-10 (top of the line multi-effects pedal) – http://www.guitarcenter.com/Boss-GT-10-Guitar-Multi-Effects-Pedal-104848726-i1389286.gc – or – start with the BOSS ME-25 – http://www.guitarcenter.com/Boss-ME-25-Guitar-Multi-Effects-Pedal-105791446-i1509963.gc
Electro-Harmonics only makes a few worth while pedals. I used to like the Line 6 POD X3 Live until, I compared it side by side with the BOSS GT-10. Roland makes BOSS and Roland does not do anything second best. There is a reason why most professional guitars own some kind of BOSS or Roland equipment. Just like Fender, you can’t really go wrong buying BOSS equipment.
In the final analysis, you need to go to a dealer and sit down with your guitar and play all that stuff you are looking at and then just chose the sound you like best. After doing that myself, I was overwhelmed at the difference in the quality and the sound of the BOSS pedals vs anything else. The Electro-Harmonics HOG pedal is really interesting. But, you will get so much more with the Roland GR-20 that it’s like night and day when you compare them. Don’t take my word for it. Go do your own comparison. Then, when you make a decision to buy something, you will know first hand it was a good decision.
