Digitech pedal question?

I am interested in getting the Digitech RP250 guitar pedal, and when I went to musiciansfriend.com, they had two types, that were seemingly identical. First question: can you spot the difference between the normal and the “blem”?

Second question: I plan on buying this on Saturday. how do you like it (assuming you own it), and does it have a whammy pedal?

Third question: a couple reviews said it had artist effects. assuming thats the effects for a certain artist, which ones do they have? Are Robert Flynn of Machine Head and Tom Morello of Rage against the machine included?

The “blem” only means that there might be a ding in it, or that the paint has a slight mismatch, or something equally stupid. IF anyone does see it, then they are too close and need to back themselves on outta your space.
I do not own this particular oedal; however, I do own a few Digi pedals, and owned the Digi RP1 (too many years ago to count). They are great pedals.


Is this a good Distortion pedal?

I was planning on buying this distortion pedal for my band and I’m wondering if it’s a good one. There are a few good reviews on the website, but I’m curious if anyone has used it and likes it.
Or if it sucks and I shouldn’t get it.

Two people I know have that exact distortion pedal. First was in a band I was in and he liked it and it had a heavy sound for Death Metal. The other is the music-store salesman that I buy all of my gear from and he had one and said it was great for practically any metal-sound, especially if you hook it up to a bass amp.

The band I was in was a Death/Thrash Metal band btw, and we had a decent sound using it ( i was only the bassist though).
