Guitar Effects Pedals Projects

How can i record guitar?
Im starting this solo project and i just need to record guitar at home with my laptop. I have a Digitech rp90 multi-effects pedal if you can use that. I also have a microphone and two adapters. What can i do?
There are a couple of things you will have to consider. Unfortunately, there is not a simple answer. If you would like to record guitar using the effects pedal, you will get the best sound by putting a mic up to your guitar amp. You can run your guitar directly into computer or sound recording device. However, unless you are a master at mixing recordings, it will take a lot of doing to edit your guitar track to make it sound decent. I would recommend the former. Find a setting on you amp that you like, and put a mic right up the face of the amp. When you listen to the recording, you will hear a high-pitched hissing, which is an easy enough frequency to get rid of.

What would happen if I used a different value of capacitor in my effects pedal project?
I’m building an effects pedal for my guitar and one of the parts needed is a “.oo33uf” ceramic capacitor. The site I buy parts from does not supply them. What would happen if I used a different value? If I can just do that, should I use the closest one above or below the real value, or does it not really matter? It doesn;t matter a whole lot to me if the tone is slightly different then it is supposed to be.
I’d need to see the schematic to be sure.
But a small change should not matter, for example a 0.003µF would be fine. If you are within 20%, that should be fine. 20% means between 0.0026µF and 0.004µF
and note that 0.0033µF is the same as 3.3nF
