Guitar Effects Pedals Parts

guitar volume pedals? high impedance or low?
Im looking to buy a volume pedal as part of my setup…..i would want to plug my guitar into some effects and then have the volume pedal…..should I get a high impedance or a low impedance???
I would also want to plug my guitar straight into the volume pedal at some times so would this matter also….
PS:my guitar has passive pickups
Passive pickups work better with high impedance. The guitar should work direct into the pedal no problem.
