Guitar Effects Pedals Amps
What’s a relatively cheap way to get a lot of guitar effects?
Is there some kind of guitar effect… device… that I can use to create a lot of different effects? I’m no good at trying to deal with a lot of different pedals and such, so I usually just use the built-in effects on my amp. But I sometimes need to use different amps to play on, so I need some way to be able to have multiple effects settings, but be able to switch between them on any amp.
So obviously built in amp effects is out of the queation. I have always liked to have a pedal board made out of individual pedals but have never had the time or money to get them and make one up, so i have always used multi effects units.
I have only even used three so i suppose i can only give my opinion on those ones….
My first one was a zoom G2 – there are probably better zoom products out there now as it was a number of years ago when i bought this pedal. Some nice effects but not very user friendly. Cheap (£80 i think) and a very good first pedal if your not used to multieffects.
After owning the G2 for a while, it was time to move on and i was stuck between the boss GT10 and the line 6 pod XT live so i borrowed both off friends. After a few weeks i chose the Boss Gt10 and have been happy with it for the past 3 years. The pod XT is very professional and i wouldnt recommend it unless you have a good knowledge of guitar effects and multi effects units. It’s very hard to use and too fiddly/anal. The GT10 is very easy to use, very user firendly and just great all round. The effects sound great and it is a very versatile unit, you will be surprised with all you can do and there are loads of youtube tutorials to help you get the best out of it. at £300 (xt live same price) it is expensive but it’s a very good investment as it will last you a lifetime!!

Slash(Guns n Roses) guitar effects?
Hey, I have been playing an acoustic guitar since a year now and I recently got an Epiphone Sg,partly because I wanted to play Slash Solos…Can anyone tell me how I could achieve the sound of Sweet Child o mine and November Rain? 
I have garage band software so it basically has built in effects and amps and pedals ect.. Please tell me the amp settings as well.A well explained answer would be appreciated ) Thanks in advance!!!

great effects you can hear online and see which one apply to sweet child o mine but its mostly his overdrive, not sure about his amp setting but unless you have the same $3000 marshall amp, it doesnt really matter
