Guitar Effects In Order
What would be the customs duty on this guitar effects pedal?
I am ordering a guiar effects pedal in to the UK from the USA. The pedal itself is $197.50, so that’s about £126.80, and the shipping is $36.00, so that’s about £23.11. So the total price is £149.91. How much would customs duty be? What would I be paying in total? I’ve looked on HM Customs website but it’s damn near impossible to navigate, and over and above that I don’t know which category guitar effects pedals fall into. Please could someone help me out?

Guitar effect pedal order?
i have a hot rod deluxe and i need to know a good order to put my pedals in, and if i should use the Effects Loop. i have a Morely Volume pedal a Dunlop original wah, and a Nobels Fuzz pedal. what order should i put these in, and where at. thanks
There are really no hard and fast rules with these three pedals. However, it is common to put fuzz/distortion fist in the chain, the wah as second and then have the volume pedal #3.
The kind of effects that are commonly put in an effect loop – or at the end of the signal chain if they don’t go in the loop – would be reverb, echo/delay and modulation effects like phaser, flanger, chorus etc.
If you have a volume pedal and/or a tremolo – and you use say modulation but no effect loop, then I would have the volume/tremolo at the very end of the chain.
