MY guitar gear setup sounds crappy…Help!?
I just got a pretty good washburn guitar, so I went to the pawn shop and got this multi-effects pedal Korg AX 1G found here (http://www.ciao.co.uk/Korg_AX_1_G__47771)
and the cheapest amp something like this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5245331
anyway….It just doesnt sound like a rock guitar on radio…like fall out boy,nickleback or any others like that. What should I do…just save up for a better amp?
all the good bands use vintage tube amps, like fenders, marshalls, mesa/boogies. i would look for a small fender (used) to start out with. make sure it is a TUBE AMP. be ready to pay at least $300. it can be a smaller amp, just make sure it has the wattage to sound good.

I was wondering if there is any website that has a listing of what gear/effects various bands use in songs? What guitars, effects pedals, keyboards, amps, etc?
I think it’s guitargeek.com , i’ve seen it before and it has detailed lists of certain players gear, etc. It’s mainly for guitars.
