Guitar Effect Projects
I’m fixing up a cheap guitar i got off ebay, i want to add some cool effects(sound) + more. Help! ?
I got the guitar off of ebay as a little project for myself to do, its a yamaha pacifica by the way. So far i have fitted a new black scratch plate, new coil pick ups and i’m now about to sand out all of the bumps and scrapes and re-varnish it. I also want to look into putting some extra effects into it. Either building something from scratch or taking apart something like a fuzz factory to put in it.
What i want your help with is to give me some ideas, how to do them and most improtantly, Cost!
oh… and how easy is it to build one from scratch and fitting it into a guitar?

If there is enough room in the body cavity for a small circuit board and a 9volt battery you should be good-to-go.
For circuits with a lot of control potentiometers (variable resistors), I would suggest building the circuit on a white bread-board and experimenting with the controls until you have the sound you like, then fixing the value of the variable resistor with whatever the control is set to. That way you don’t have to put more controls on the front of your guitar.

What Bass Guitar Effects Peddle Should I Get?
Right i ain’t really used effects peddles before and i think its time a start, i don’t know alto about them and my guitar Friends don’t help, my band do metal core death metal things and i do abit of slap bass for a side project so what would be come good peddles to pick up
It is a little on the expensive side of multi effects pedals. But the Boss GT-10B would be pretty good. i have the electric guitar version of it and it is versatile and has a lot of effects. I recommend it
