What is a good Guitar Recording Program?

Hey… Im new to this whole recording thing… I purchased an M-Powered Fast Track USB, and it works great, but I don’t like the program it came with… The “M-Powered Pro Tools Essential” Its been glitching out on me. But I was wondering if there is a better program with the same idea. I can use the recording USB box with third party software, but I want a new program that worked like this one, where all I need is to plug my guitar INTO the box, than into my computer, no amps or pedals. I want to have it so the signal is filtered and the effect are applied with my sound card. I don’t know how to explain it… But a program with a “Preamp” built in so I can have better sounding distortion at the very least…

I use Pro Tools LE and I’ve used other recording software but, for quality, you cannot beat Pro Tools. If you are having trouple with the sofware, you should contact Pro Tools Support. http://www.avid.com/us/support


Guitar effects used for tears don’t fall by Bullet for my Valentine?

yeah the title pretty much explains it… I just wanna know it anyone knows what guitar effects to use to get my guitar to sound like bullets for the intro/verse of Tears Dont Fall cuz all I have other than distortion is a wah pedal lol so when I play it it doesn’t sound that good
