Guitar Effect Emulator
Home studio recording advice?
Thinking about buying a small portastudio and quite like the look of the bossbr600, has anyone got any advice? (i play electric guitar and the boss has lots of effects plus drums and bass/accoustic emulators)
Personally I wouldn’t get that one. It’s only got 1/4″ inputs, so that means you can record straight into it with amped instruments like guitar, but if you’re trying to lay down vocals, you’ll be forced to use dynamic mics instead of condensers because they won’t be able to power the mics, like XLR inputs do.
If you want something to record just your guitar and throw a simple drumbeat onto it, then it’ll work, but if you want to add vocals, look for somethign with an XLR input.
