I’m looking for a small music venue in (or somewhere ’round-about) Arlington, Virginia?
I’m in a two piece band from New York. We play a kind of acoustic psychedelic folk rock & roll. Do modern people listen to folk music?
If so what kind of people are they? I’m intrigued, met a 28Yr old modern girl who is into Folk music, 60′s and 70′s, smokes Golden Virginia and drinks Beer……I don’t know anyone else her age who is into this.

Well, if you met someone who does obviously people do.
I personal LOVE folk metal! I firmly believe one has not lived until one has seen a band with shredding electric guitars, accordion, bagpipes, and/or hurdy gurdy.(Maybe tin whistle, Djembe, Morin Huur)
I’m older than she but, yes where I live there are several huge folk fests in the summer-3 with Celtic Music and the other is The Philadelphia Folk Festival. There are always lots of people this woman’s age in attendance. Most of them smoke something a bit left handed, and yes enough beer to fill a small ocean.
