Folk Guitar Fingerpicking

What would be a good kind of guitar for folk music?
I am looking to buy an accoustic-electric guitar for folk, blues, and some bluegrass country playing. A lot of fingerpicking. I am looking for a decent one that is priced under $400 dollars preferably. I really don’t know much about guitar brands. please put what guitar, make and model, and why you would suggest it. thanks.
If you cant afford to get a new (nice) guitar, you can go to a pawn shop and get a nice gibson guitar.A lot of guitars at pawn shops are like new.I play a regular acoustic guitar for ALL my country, bluegrass and folk songs.Gibson is a really good guitar brand.

Guitar beginner question?
What is the difference between fingerpicking and strumming? I just ordered a steel string folk sized guitar and a friend had told me that the guitar would be best for fingerpicking. But I don’t know that means.
Also another question, I play the piano and rock/pop type music on it and have sheet music of the genre. Would i still be able to play the chords pictured above on my guitar? If so, could I play them both fingerpicking and strumming style? Or just 1?
Thanks!
Is there a major difference in the sound? Also how would I be able to play a chord fingerpicking style if you only pluck one note?
finger picking is when you use your fingers to play the strings like in classical, flamenco or bluegrass styles,
strumming is when you strum all or most of the strings at once, you can use your fingers or a pick
you can do both on any guitar,
when someone says a guitar is good for finger picking it means it has good sound projection therefore it will sound as good using finger picking since finger picking usually sounds quieter than strumming
you can fingerpick a chord using all your fingers at once to play the chord
a good example of fingerpicking is dust in the wind or the intro to stairway to heaven, or nothing else matters
a good example of strumming is wish you were here ,jack and diane, heart of gold
