Electric Guitar Effects Download
Do I need a preamp to connect my guitar to my computer?
I have a crate electric guitar. I have a jack adapter that goes from 1/4″ to 1/8″. I have an effects program I downloaded off the internet, but i get no input levels, and no sound from the guitar. Heres my main question…**Is is possible to connect this guitar to my computer WITHOUT a preamp and get sound?** Can i use an amp or a pedal instead of a preamp?
Most of the stuff you get on the internet is junk and will not work anyway , been there done that
I got the Audigy 2 zs by Creative this has all the stuff you need built in to it
I play the backing tracks in its player and it will synk to record at the same time so you actualy record yourself playing there is now a new model out but well worth the investment if you serious about doing this it will even make wav or mp3 conversions but check it out yourself you can still use any effects pedals you have just plug em in
