Effect Pedal Housing

What are some good guitar amps for under $200?
I am looking for a new amp, but I do not have much money. I will only be playing in my house with no band. I would like it to be at least 15 watts. I do not need effects because I will be buying a new multi-effects pedal. I would like one that is very versatile. I want to play humbuckers, single coils, and everything else with good tone. I was thinking Line 6, Fender or Roland. What are some nice, cheap solid state amps?
get the line 6 spider 3 30W or peavey vypyr 30W. Both are very diverse digital amps and both have plenty of different amp models. of course, you should check the amps out before you buy them, and try other amplifiers as well, but those two are quality amps for your price range.

Cheap guitar effects/pedals.?
I dont have that much money to get professional pedals or anything. So are there any cheap ones that work pretty good? I’m 13 and ive beeen playing for almost 5 years. Ive got some natural talent and I want to perform when I’m older. I want some cool effects just to mess around with. BTW, I have a Fender Stratocaster, I think its called a road house or somthing. anyways, thanks!
Hello there,
Sure there are lots of decent sounding inexpensive pedals. Danelctro makes numerous pedals. There are other makers of inexpensive pedals, but Danelectro is one that I am most familar with and has the widest selection.
I take it you don’t have any pedals yet. Does you amp have any effects? What amp do you have?
A good idea is to buy used pedals. Used pedals sell pretty cheap compared to the new prices. I get a lot of used pedals on eBay. I am always bargain shopping there for used pedals.
Assuming you have no built in effects with your amp. I suggest these.
Start with a good basic distortion pedal. I think the Boss DS-1 is about as good as any basic distortion pedal. I see those sell used for around $15. Next, if your amp does not have reverb, you should get a reverb pedal. Most of the better reverb pedals are pricey, like the Holy Grail, and spring reverb tanks are out of sight these days. A decent reverb pedal is the Danelectro Corned Beef. I see those sell used for around $12 and new for $30. If you don’t have an electronic tuner, get one. Those make life so much easier in tuning your guitar. The little Qwik Tune models sell for less than $10. I have several of those, keep one every where I keep or work on guitars. After the distortion and reverb pedals, the rest are a matter of taste. Go on Youtube and search for some pedal demos. There are a lot on there. If you see a pedal on eBay that you are interesting in, go check out how it sounds on Youtube. Wah pedal would probably be my next one. Crybaby is still the best. Used for $20. Others in no particular order that you should consider: chorus, octave, phaser, flanger, compressor, tremolo, overdrive, metal distortion and EQ. Those pretty well cover the basics.
Oh, if you see a good deal on the Danelectro Fab Tone (not the Fab series, the older series, but called Fab Tone) It is maroon colored. That is a good distortion pedal. Right up there with the Boss DS-1. Also really like the Danelectro Daddy 0. Sort of a cross between an overdrive and a distortion pedal. Speaking of overdrive pedals, the Tube Screamer is the classic, but now pricey. The Danelectro overdrive is darn good, I think they call it the Pastrami.
Have fun experimenting.
Later,
PS, I don’t feel like spell checking this one, so you will have to make do with my mis-spellings
