Boss Pedals Tone

I want to get specific tone out of a boss pedal?
im looking for a pedal that will give me the sound the jonas brothers have with there guitar playin. i dont like them just thetone they have with there guitar riffs. so pleaze help
Tone has a lot to do with the type of amp you play through. The same BOSS distortion pedal may sound ratty through a cheap amp, but sound really good through a tube amp.
If you are really going for a good, powerful sound through any amp, get a Tonelab LE. It has a tube in it and models all sorts of different amps and sounds.
Otherwise you need a tube amp for sure.

Line 6 or Digitech or BOSS distortion pedal?
I want a distortion pedal that can give me metal tones, so I narrowed it down to :
Line 6 Uber Metal Pedal
Digitech Metal Master
BOSS DS-1
The Line 6 and Digitech pedals I’ve seen used for around $60 on the local classifieds, and the DS-1 I’ve seen on the internet for around $40,(not counting shipping).
Any opinions or mini-reviews would be appreciated!
Personally i wouldn’t choose any of those. Both the line 6 and digitech pedal give to much a digital muddy kind of distortion, and the boss ds-1 is 1) not a metal distortion pedal, and 2) sounds kinda like a blown speaker in a cab. Personally i use the fulltone gt-500 it has both a boost and distortion switch and i think it has a really thick full toned (no pun intended) distortion. Obviously this is not the only good distortion pedal out there just my personal preference, but i definitely would not recommend any of those three pedals to anyone
