Good Guitar Strings for Metal?

im currently using beefy slinky 11′s

but i just want to try out something different

looking for some good stuff for heavy stuff. i usually play in drop d and drop c.

and an old yamaha amp.fifty
its 150 watts .

and for effects
i use a metal zone mt-2 from boss pedal(distortion)

Drop C I would go with a 7 string set and throw out the High E,

Drop D, 11′s are fine.

I like GHS boomers or Ernie Ball Slinkeys


I need to find a explorer electric guitar that costs around 1000-1200?

for my 16th birthday im allowed to spend 1200 on a guitar. i already hav a sg a boss me50 pedal board and a huge peavey tube amp but i rly want a explorer. Oh and i hav a bunch of acoustics. thts why im not getting any. so if anybody can help me find a explorer guitar (preferabbly the bage color. like the edge from u2) that cost around 1000 to 1200 tht wud be great thnks.

I would think that Epi has a few in that price range
