Boss Pedals Reviews

Good Ska Punk Distortion/Overdrive Pedal?
I play in a ska punk band, mostly in the styles of Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Catch 22 and the like. My cleans are excellent, but my old distortion pedal finally ended up breaking, and I’m willing to spend up to about a hundred dollars on a new one that isn’t from Target this time. Looking for one that’s got produces a fairly warm tone, but has the ability to be versatile. Preferably of the BOSS models, simply because it’s what is readily available to me, location-wise. I’m already ruling out the DS-1, since I haven’t been reading many favorable reviews on it. Mostly debating between the OS-2 and Turbo Distortion DS-2. Anyone with experience with these models, or other BOSS models, what did you think of it/them/whatever you had?
I have the DS-2 and it is a fine pedal. The turbo REALLY boosts the mids and it has enough knobs to get whatever kind of tone you want, from a really heavy distortion to a barely noticably dirt on a clean tone.
It is the only distortion pedal I have used though, so I can’t really compare. I am happy with it though, and it is certainly a popular choice amongst many musicians.
Edit: The OS-2 is the same as the DS-2, literally. The circuitry is the same inside it.
Alternative adapter for boss psa series?
I just bought a re-20 space echo twin pedal and need a power supply. The manual says I need a boss psa series adapter, but in the reviews of it people said that it was made very cheaply and that it will break easily. What other adapters are safe to use with this pedal that are built to last? Any suggestions of any products are welcome.
