Boss Pedals Metal Zone

how to equalize a metal zone pedal?
I have a Boss Metal Zone Pedal…how do I equalize it for it to sound good and more less which type of sounds and styles can I make with different equalizations and combinations?
thanx
u can use reference band for the styles and sounds…
hey normally you just whack up the bass and treble and cut the mids a bit but i think the best way to do it is experiment and find something that sounds good to you.
I have a boss metal zone pedal(guitar) have problems can anyone help?
i recently got a used boss metal zone pedal. when i put a fairly new 9 volt battery in, it didnt work, and instead made staticy noises when i tried it on guitar. i found an old ac/adaptor in my closet, and it works ok with the pedel, it still sometimes makes staticy sounds. if i continues to use the adaptor, will it eventualy wreck my pedal?
also if someone has similar probelsm with a 9 volt battery, please tell me thanks.
First you need to make sure that the problem you’re hearing is from the pedal itself. Check your guitar cables, the input on your guitar and the input on the amp. Then check to make sure the inputs aren’t just dirty.
As for the powersupply problem – it should work with the battery, if it’s a new pedal it’s still under warranty, you may just be able to exchange it from where you got it from. If it’s used have someone with electronics experience look at it to make sure all the wires are connected and letting the current flow.
Also make sure the AC adapter you’re using is the proper voltage for the pedal. That information should be labeled somewhere on the pedal.
Here’s the Metal Zone pedal info page from the Boss website:
