can you use a bass multi effects pedal and a lead guitar?
i bought a boss me 50b which is a bass pedal, boss make the same pedal for lead guitars ‘boss me 50′. so could i use the bass pedal? and would it change the sound?
The ME50B is optimized for use with a bass. Pretty much everything about it is designed to enhance the tonal qualities of a bass… not a guitar.
There would be no point in manufacturing two different products if they were exactly the same. They sound different, and the ME50 would definitely sound better with a guitar than the ME50B.

What’s the difference between a BOSS ME-20 and a BOSS ME-50 guitar pedal?
ME 20 is a floor processor meaning it can model various brands of effects, amps and cabinets. The ME 50 is basically all of BOSS effects intigrated into one floor stomp box. You only get BOSS effects on the ME 50. Understand? It is two different animals. Basically go with the 50 if you want BOSS effects or the 20 if you want the option of many brand name sounds.
