What is that guitar effect that former Seether guitarist Pat Callahan used? And how can I get it for my guitr?
I know that in most songs, Seether uses a combination of simple distorted guitar and clean guitar. However, if you listen to Driven Under, one of my faves, you’ll hear this very whiny effect in the background during one part- in the second pre-chorus, I believe. It is unique to Seether as far as I know, and has a whiny, high-gain quality to it that sounds almost violin-like, if you had a really tweaked-out violin.

I’m trying to get this effect for my own guitar, and am having the hardest time. Any help would be appreciated.
hes doing volume swells and has an echo/delay pedal on.Basically you can buy a volume pedal or you can just turn the knob on your guitar with your pinky as you pick.Some multi effects pedals have an auto swell.Thats for what he does right after the one-two one two thing.
For his clean parts and a few distorted parts hes using a chorus pedal.
And please dont take this as a rude comment, but none of those are unique to the band.Nirvana used chorus a lot, and red hot chili peppers used the swell to make a backwards sounding guitar in the song”give it away now” or whatever its called, I forget.

How can I get my electric guitar to sound more like the Beatles?
I own a Epiphone Les Paul studio and i want to sound more like the early beatles. You know, songs like I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Feel FIne, Eight Days a Week, Hard Day’s Night, ect. I have a marshall 30 fx amp. Are there any effects that would be good, settings on the amp or guitar? Thanks.
