Electric Guitar help?

ok so i’m planning to buy an electric guitar and i want to know if the way a guitar looks effects the sound and where can i find some good guitar lessons online
Ihave a reliable site to buy it
i give best answer to the person that gives the best lesson site

Edit: As for your request about *the* best lesson site, I don’t think there is one. There are several good ones.
The best free one is http://justinguitar.com – for paid ones, there are several great options and like I stated previously, you can read more about some of them here: http://learnelectricguitarnow.net

Hi. I agree with one of the posters here who correctly says that looks has nothing to do with how a guitar plays. In my experience it is quite often the opposite.

Many times low quality guitars are made to look cool and fancy to attract inexperienced buyers. With the modern day production machinery, this is almost as easy as pushing a button. You may end up with a guitar which looks like a dream machine, but has a low quality sound, wrong weight balance and what no.

The pickups is just one piece of the puzzle. Other things which will determine whether or not you have a guitar which actually is going to sound good are:
- the woods being used
- the quality of the switches
- wires and tuners
- the metal in the bridge
- the saddle and fret materials
- build quality (neck fit, frets and lots more)
- factory set up/adjustment

One of the very few place I have found which has this taken care of also in their lower priced instruments is the Agile brand: http://www.learnelectricguitarnow.net/agile-electrics – the quality here is nothing short of astounding, considering the price.

I have also seen a select few sellers on eBay and a handful of other dealers/stores who actually goes over each instrument to ensure it plays well – not just looks nice.

For most buyers it should be obvious that you will need to actually hold and play the guitar. How is the set up? How is the balance? How does it sound with and without an amp? How is the neck? Any sharp edges and obvious building flaws? The before mentioned Agile (which can only be purchased online) is something I would dare consider without testing first.

There are also some other issues as well as online lessons you can look at on the site below.

Which amp to buy help duddes :D ?

Ok so i have 160 pound and i want to buy an electric guitar amp preferbly a vox one because i use one at guitar lesson and it sounds sweeeeeeet! this is my first like descent amp i am going to buy so i want a fairly descent one with some features effects etc, i’m into music like indie and rock so basically from the kooks to paramore any heads up on what to get?

thanks :)

All vox are pretty much the same just different watts so just figure out how many watts you need (25-30 for just playing in your home and 75-120 for small gigs). But from personal experience the solid/tube combination amps are pretty nice.
