Effects Pedals Australia

Musical Instrument Help?
Okay so Im having a problem with converting plugs from american to australian. most things work but so far, I have blown up a nintendo wii, a guitar amp, and an ipod dock while trying to use an australian plug with an adaptor. so i recently bought a guitar effects pedal and im wondering if it too will not work in australia… should i buy a high quality adaptor?
In converting from Us to Australian current, you’re going from 120v 60hz to 240v 50hz. If you’re not using appropriate adapters/converters/transformers, I can see where you would have a problem.
Read this: http://users.telenet.be/worldstandards/electricity.htm#adapters For electronic gear or continuous duty, you need a “transformer” rather than a “converter.” Be sure to read the power requirements of your gear, it should be printed on it. Maybe you’d be better off using batteries with your effects pedal.

I NEED SOLDERING IRON?
Hi i am looking for some soldering iron to use on my circuit to make a guitar effects pedal called a *Fuzz Face*. can anyone in australia tell me where i can buy some soldering iron from, and tell me what kind i must buy?????
For a 1 off circuit you don’t need an expensive soldering iron. You could try a butane powered soldering iron as they would probably be cheaper. But there are 3 sources listed below that offer a wide selection of soldering irons. Look through them and see if anything fits your needs.
