Guitar Pedal Accessories
Looking for a store in San Antonio where I can buy DRUM accessories?
We were going to Guitar Center on San Pedro however I don’t think they are there anymore. I need to get an avenger II double bass pedal, cowbell with attachment, symbol stand and new drum heads. Any idea where I can go for all of this. We are looking for new. I saw a few stores online but they seem small and don’t have everything we are looking for. Thanks
Well I have done business with InterStateMusic.com for about five years now, and every time I’ve placed an order the items are in stock. Free shipping with order $100.00, low prices, etc.
I have also dome some business with Music123.com (not much though), I do like the fact they allow PayPal. MusiciansFriend.com is a pain in the neck, not only more then half of the time items are back-ordered but, they can’t seem to get there promo discount right, so I have canceled orders.
I use the LP cowbell (4 of them) & there Jam blocks (hi & low pitch). Gibralter stands are nice. I only use EVANS drumheads there “HYDRAULIC Glass” on all 8 toms, ST Dry Snare batter & 300 Hazy resonate (snare side). The resonate tom heads are G1 also from Evans.
Last of all, because I play the DRUMS/PERCUSSION lefthanded the double pedal market is small, so I do lots of research. I narrowed it down too two, a DW 5000 or Tama Iron Cobra. The DW is a single post on the slave in order to in tight to your hi-hat plus, DW comes with a 5 year warranty. Tama has a new (for 2007) revised Iron Cobra with many updates (which sold me by the way). Though Tama comes with a 1 years warranty, two Guitar Center locations and Ellis Drum Shop told me the same song and dance, they see more DW pedals in for repairs (maybe thats why they give you a 5 year warranty), and very, very few Tama pedals come in for repair.
Do yourself a favor and contact Interstatemusic, request a catalog, it contains tons of gear for us drummers & percussionist.

Could someone tell me answers to these questions about electric guitars?
What does the music theory have to do with electric guitars? What do you know about the guitar’s gears and accessories (i.e. pedals, amps, etc.)? What do you know about the history of electric guitars? What does electricity have to do with electric guitars? You can give me links to answers for those questions, or you can just answer them directly (you might need to e-mail instead of commenting/answering due to character limits). I’d appreciate info ASAP, please.
Music theory concerning electric guitars is a simple way of stating that the electric guitar can replicate any other musical instrument.
Tuning keys are used to keep the guitar in tune. Whammy bars are used to raise and lower the tone of all of the strings. A good amplifier is capable of producing sound without distortion at high volume levels. There are many different types of pedals, including distortion, wa wa, phase shifters, echo, vibrato, etc.
For an answer to history of electric guitars, just google “history of electric guitars” and pick what you want. I know a lot about the history, but it is too extensive to put here.
Electricity allows the vibration and sound of the strings to be picked up (using pickups) and transmitted to an amplifier. Since the electric guitar is easier to play than an acoustic, this allows for more variation of the sounds, and allows the electric guitar to play louder than an acoustic.
